Keeping your car clean and looking sharp is really hard, especially with today’s long commutes exposing your pride and joy to more dust, oil and airborne particles than ever.
That’s why it’s so important to treat your car properly, and have it detailed and finished with a quality product that keeps it looking polished as long as possible, as well as helping to protect the paintwork from anything that might damage it.
If that’s what you’re looking for, then Chemical Guys V7 is literally the perfect product for you. It’s a spray on car detailing formula that’s been tested hundreds of times, perfecting the solution, which is now finally available for home use!
Interested? I’m sure you are. But I’m sure you’ve got some questions, too. So make sure you read the rest of our Chemical Guys V7 review to find out more.
How does this stuff work?
It’s made of a polymerised compound that’s absolutely tiny. So small that it can fit into the microscopic holes in the finish of your paintwork, which prevents anything from bonding with it. Water, dirt, oil, it all just slides off with one wipe of a cloth.
That sounds too good to be true, I know, but it isn’t. It’s a modification of the formula used to treat and waterproof high end boats, and Chemical Guys went through 53 separate iterations of their formula before they arrived at this one.
Because it’s water repellent, it protects against watermarks. Water can’t find any surface tension with material treated with a nano spray, so it just beads up and rolls off.
V7 is also UV resistant, which is huge, especially if you’ve just purchased a new car. One of the biggest long term damages to car paintwork is UV wear, which is something you normally can’t do anything about. Unless you only drive at night.
It leads to cars having that ‘washed out’ look, with tired, dull paint even after just a few months in the sun, so if you don’t park your car in the garage at night, this could be a problem you face. Even worse, if your car is asymmetrically parked in light and shade, one half of your car could end up looking worse than the other. That’s not just bad to look at, it’s embarrassing as well.
All it takes is one spray to keep your car protected until its next wash.
How do I use it?
Chemical Guys V7 is actually incredibly easy to apply:
- First, clean your car. Make sure that the surface of your vehicle is as clean as possible. That means no dirt, dust or fingerprints.
- Then, spray a cloth with V7. Use a microfibre cloth for best results.
- Wipe it onto the section of the vehicle you’re treating with broad, sweeping motions. Remember Daniel San, wax on, wax off.
- Follow this up with a clean microfibre cloth to make sure there’s absolutely no streaks, leaving your car with a mirror shine
One bonus is that you can use this spray on the entire car. Any type and color of paint will come up to a mirror finish with this, and it’s absolutely fine to use on wheels, including alloys, chrome and metalwork, and even the glass!
Moreover, because this was developed from sprays used on boats and planes, you can use it anything, including cars, trucks, bikes and, of course, your boat if you have one
Now that you’ve read our Chemical Guys V7 review, I hope you’re convinced that it’s the perfect product to protect and detail your car, but if it isn’t, take a look around our site. We’ve got plenty of reviews on nano sprays and car detailing products, so you’re sure to find what you need.
