I’ll admit it: I’m a car guy. The kind of guy who actually enjoys washing his car on a sunny summer afternoon. It’s all about the satisfaction of a detail-perfect finish—the kind of shine you know is going to turn some heads the next time you take it on the road.

I also hold an advanced degree in chemistry. I didn’t get into chemistry because I like cars, of course, but I’ve definitely put my knowledge of the field to use shopping for products for my own vehicles. At the very least it means I can make sense of the long chemical names printed on the bottles, and what those chemicals contribute to the mix.

It was looking at bottles of car wash that made me decide to start this blog. I was standing in the car wash aisle of my local auto parts store and realized just how many different car washes they had for sale. For the average consumer, it must have been downright overwhelming.

Since I know a lot about both cars and chemicals, I figured I could be the perfect person to help others become more knowledgeable about their car care—and that’s how this blog was born.

Cars are my passion. I love to write about them, work on them, and talk about them. I love getting comments from readers so I hope you’ll leave a few as you’re passing through. Thanks for reading!
